| After attempting these dating sites for a little less than a year, I have come to some very interesting conclusions. Some of them good. And some of them bad. I used to think it took a *gutsy* person to toss their personal information and photo up onto the wonderful world wide web. Now its as common as breathing.
The good thing about these dating sites is that you can meet and "learn" alot about people. Whether they live in the same town as you, the same province, state, or if they are in a different country or contintent, there is always someone out there wanting the same "said" things that you want. And in the last year I can say i've "learned" alot about men and about what men want, and about what men "need". I have learned that the "majority" of men who use online dating services are merely in it for the online sex, sex in general, phone sex, cam sex or some sort of porn. It's sad really. Though very amusing to say the least? I had to learn quickly how to avoid such said men. Though that will never happen completely. Then there are the truthful, honest men who are here for the same reason that I am here. These men are hard to find. Its kind of like picking a needle out of a huge haystack. But every once in awhile you find one. Maybe nothing comes of it. Maybe you remain freinds but your search remains for that one true love. If nothing happens, at least a girl is to know she will not be belittled by demeaning comments and questions like: "What are your measurements", "Do you have cam?" "What position do you like more", etc.
I have also learned that it is unfortunate but a "reality" of sorts that *most* people who use online dating services are judgemental of ones looks or be a persons photo. By a mere photograph? How can someone do this and be "ok" with it? I do believe there has to be some sort of an attraction between 2 people. But to judge someone by their ethnic background, their height, their weight *which seems to be a huge issue with men* .. their hair/eye/skin colour or even religion.. is absolutely ludacris. For instance. A man had once asked me what my weight and height were. I asked him why he would ask such a personal question after mere moments of meeting online. His response was, " i dont want to be with someone who is 300lbs and 5ft tall, how would that look?" My response to him was. "maybe someone who is 300lbs and 5ft doesnt want to be with a skinny self centered egotistical moron", and ended the conversation. No I am not 300lbs and no im not 5ft. It was the fact that he was about to judge me instead of knowing me first. I have zero tolerance for such behaviour.
This is the longest "headline" I have ever written I do believe. I don't ask for a whole lot. At least I dont think I do. I want to be adored, cherished, desired, wanted, and loved as much as I do him. When I look at him, or he looks at me, or when he kisses me, I want that *over the wall, grandslam, homerun, butterfly kind of feeling* I want the fairytale. Though after searching for this Fairytale I have come to the conclusion there is no one who can come close to remotely giving this to me. But.. i'll settle for a sliver of happiness instead. Someone who can make me laugh and smile . A sense of humor is key in life as much as it is in dating. If you take life seriously. Your going to wind up a very lonely person. No it doesnt matter what you look like. Looks do not concern me. Someone who can make me happy does. How do you find such a person? Its all in the kiss baby.
