| | | I'm fairly sure this is going to be one of the most inarticulate pieces of drivel I've ever written - blamed partially on the late hour, and on the fact that my brain has dissolved into an incoherent puddle of slush...
At any rate...
I have this site to thank for many things, not the least of which are the wonderful friends that I have acquired over the years.
Though I'm sure they don't want their profiles slathered here...most of you know who you are...and I'm eternally thankful to (blades especially) for providing a successful medium by which to meet people.
Now for those of you who complain that 'dating sites don't work!' I am here to say... Take heart!
Almost five years ago I was fortunate enough to meet my significant other on this very site (through a series of rather amusing coincidences) - him seeing a random ad, me at the urging of a friend, both of us just 'happening' to use the chatroom for a while...
And then later, a meet and greet over pasta with a few friends, and none other than the site creator himself.
Amazingly, five years later...the s/o still tolerates me.
And if that's not success, I don't know what is.
