| | | For many, tomorrow is just "Remembrance" (or Veteran's) Day.
But tomorrow is a personal reminder, that all that we have today, is a struggle for many in our world. It's a reminder that every single day, someone, somewhere is put down and treated wrongly and that "Veterans" are not just "old guys".
A few years ago, I lost a good friend and humanity lost one of it's better assets. Corporal Marc Leger, was kiled by friendly fire, defending and protecting what he thought was right and good, in a time and place filled with torture, unfairness, and uncertainty of even basic survival for many.
Take 2 minutes at 11 am on on Tuesday, November 11th, to remember all those who have died trying to protect the freedoms and the rights we most usually take for granted today.
Thank you Marc. And a big thank you to all the coujtless brave men and women who willingly died to make the world a better place for those around them.
Humanity is a better place because of you all.Monday Nov-10-08 8:43 PM |
